The film will have its European premiere at Cinemaissí. Romero leaves his Indigenous wife and child for a new life in Guatemala City, only to encounter isolation and estrangement. His journey becomes further complicated when he falls for Nubia, a transgender small‑business owner in the mall he patrols. After the screening, there will be a conversation with director Joaquín Ruano and Florencia Quesada, Professor of Latin American Studies. The first Pohjoismaissí award will be presented. Romero becomes a security guard at a shopping centre and his journey further twists when he falls in love with Nubia, a transgender small‑business owner. After the screening, director Joaquín Ruano and Latin American Studies professor Florencia Quesada will discuss. The event will also present the first ever Pohjoismaissí award.
