Description
The organ of the Music House invites you to a Christmas celebration, where the table is set with Johann Sebastian Bach's music. Bach's colleagues Georg Friedrich Händel and Tomaso Albinoni also take part in the refreshments.
Organ solos and improvisations shine their bright light into the dimness of mid‑winter. In the soprano arias the joy of Christmas is celebrated, a sparkling trumpet joins the merriment with its bright tone. And a proper Christmas celebration is nothing without a community song! Between musical performances familiar Christmas songs are sung with the full force of the audience.
At the organ bench sit the tide‑changing cantor of Leppävaara Parish, organ artist Pauliina Hyry, and organ music lecturer Christian Ahlskog from the Oulu Conservatory. Trumpet solos are announced by Sibelius Academy Brass Music professor Pasi Pirinen, and the Christmas arias are sung by Johanna Isokoski.
