Description
Singer‑songwriter Selma Savolainen has been aptly described as “the Saima Grey‑wolf of the millennials”. Her music combines profound lyrics with intense jazz. In this club, new big‑band arrangements of Savolainen’s award‑winning Horror Vacui album and pieces composed especially for this concert weave her voice into the sound of a large orchestra. During the evening material from Savolainen’s upcoming album, due in spring 2026, will also be heard, where the rawness of 90s British punk meets Brazilian rhythms. Savolainen will appear as a vocal soloist with the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra for the first time, conducted by Mikko Hassinen.
Please note: The venue has a club‑style standing area, meaning most places are standing. In addition, there is a very limited number of unnumbered seats.
The concert lasts approximately 75 minutes, with no intermission. No age limit.
In addition to club‑specific tickets, a season pass covering three autumn evenings is on sale.
