Description
The concert presents Swedish-language vocal music from the repertoire of Finland‑Swedish, Swedish and other Nordic composers and poets. The performers are artists from the Sibelius-Akatemian vocal music department, both teachers and students. The concert is also part of the Royal Swedish Academy’s extensive Språkets musikaliska rymd project.
Before the concert at 17:30 there will be a panel discussion led by Gustav Djupsjöbacka, addressing the heritage of Swedish-language poetry and its influence on Finnish vocal literature.

Resonant Language song series
In the Resonant Language song series of the Sibelius-Akatemian vocal music, four lied concerts are heard each year performed by vocal and piano students. The artistic director of the Resonant Language series is lied music lecturer Keval Shah.
