Description
Free tickets are distributed at the hall's entrance one hour before the concert begins. Tickets are handed out on a first‑come, first‑served basis. The hall has a limited number of seats, so please arrive early.
The concert opens with Benjamin Britten's lively and insightful work The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, which introduces the orchestra’s instruments and their possibilities in an inspiring way.
After the intermission, Jean Sibelius's Symphony No. 2 is performed – a piece full of melodic beauty and great emotion.
The concert is part of a project that applies a study‑module concept developed together with students. The purpose of the project is to simulate a professional orchestra’s concert week through the amount and method of rehearsals. At the end of the short working period, the program is presented in a workshop concert.
