Sami Saari and Jazzpojat

Sami Saari and Jazzpojat's music is ear‑pleasing, dance‑inducing, swinging jazz and soul from us and elsewhere. Known as a small‑scale producer and big consumer of Finnish soul music, Saari has always been a jazz man at heart, and for that reason has formed a band where strong soloing and unpretentious swing combine their forces with a charismatic vocalist. “It takes sheer courage to create such unabashedly entertaining jazz as Saari does with his excellent band.” – Mari Koppinen, Helsingin Sanomat Sami Saari – guitar and vocals Mikael Myrskog – piano Ville Pynssi – drums Oskari Siirtola – double bass Sami Leponiemi – saxophone Guest musicians: Gunu Karjalainen – trumpet Aki Lahtinen – percussion
