Description
Little Willie Mehto, also known as Ville Mehto, has performed at numerous blues events in Finland and Europe.
Finland's most brilliant contemporary blues star represented the country last year in the European Blues Challenge competition. Little Willie Mehto, touching deep blues roots, takes the audience on a Delta Blues journey flavored with a harmonica and cigar‑box guitar.
In addition to his own songs, Little Willie Mehto performs country and Delta blues classics, including those in the spirit of Muddy Waters and Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee. His slide‑pipe and dobro virtuosity recalls great masters such as Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, R.L. Burnside and Bukka White.
