Contemporary dance pioneer Sanna Kekäläinen’s work Studien über Hysterie is an undisputed classic of Finland’s contemporary dance and performance art history. It is brought into the present now in a completely new way:
K&C presents this Finnish contemporary dance classic in an entirely new manner so that the original work is inside the new Hysteria Mundi piece. New material and different art forms create a broad, meaning‑expanding circle around the old work, forming a new, exciting and surprising piece that mirrors the old work’s 35‑year history in relation to the state of the world and the changes of the planet and biosphere during that time.
