HOS Big Band (Hämäläis‑Osakunnan Soittajat) is a 20‑member ensemble featuring talented music enthusiasts and students from Helsinki. Our conductor is Viljami Heikkinen.
Our programme is built on swing classics, complemented by more modern lounge and funk rhythms. In addition, we also master traditional dance music such as waltzes, tangos and humps. HOS’s history dates back to its founding in 1932, but the band took its current big‑band form in the 1980s.
Duration about 90 min, no intermission.
